Privacy Policy

El Mehdi Chenfour ("we", "us") operates the Bo mobile app (the "App"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We try to say it plainly.

1. Who is responsible

El Mehdi Chenfour, an individual developer based in Morocco, is responsible for your personal data. Contact us about privacy at bo.coach.help@gmail.com.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what the App needs to coach you. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Payment card details are handled by Apple, not by us.

3. Health data (Apple Health)

With your permission, the App reads your step count from Apple Health to give the coach context about your day. We use Health data only to provide App features. To personalize your coaching, some of this information (such as your step count) may be processed by third-party service providers that help operate the App. We do not use Health data for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell it. You can revoke access any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. The food, weight, and goal information you enter is also health-related and is treated with the same care.

4. How AI works here

The App's coach is powered by third-party AI service providers. To generate replies and read your meals, we send relevant content — your message, the food text or photo you're logging, and context about your day — to these providers to process on our behalf, under contract and only to operate the App. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your content to train their AI models. AI output can be wrong; see the Medical & AI Disclaimer.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the App, under contract and only for that purpose:

We can provide the current list of these providers on request at bo.coach.help@gmail.com. We may also disclose data if required by law, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business (you'll be notified).

6. International processing

Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, by the providers above. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards with them.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the App. You can delete your account and associated data in-app (Me → account → Delete account), which removes your profile, logs, weight history, and chat from our systems, subject to limited retention required by law (e.g., purchase records held by Apple). Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

8. Your rights

You may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data and to withdraw consent (for example, Health access). We do not sell your personal information and do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, email bo.coach.help@gmail.com; we verify requests and respond within the time the law allows.

9. Security

We protect data in transit (TLS) and store sign-in tokens in the device keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of health data.

10. Children

The App is intended for users 16 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age; if you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete the data.

11. Changes

We'll update this policy as the App evolves and revise the effective date. Material changes will be surfaced in-app or by notice.
