This disclaimer is part of the Terms of Service and is also surfaced in the App.
Bo provides general information and motivation about food and nutrition. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, clinical, nutritional-therapy, psychological, or other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Using the App does not create a doctor-, dietitian-, or therapist-patient relationship.
The calorie and macro targets, meal suggestions, and coach messages are estimates and general guidance, not a prescription. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing, or stopping any diet, exercise, supplement, or health regimen — especially if you are pregnant or nursing, are a minor, are an older adult, or have any medical condition (including diabetes, heart, kidney, or gastrointestinal conditions, allergies, or a history of disordered eating).
The coach is powered by artificial intelligence. AI can be confidently wrong: it may miscalculate calories or macros, misread a meal photo, misremember context, or produce guidance that is not appropriate for you. Do not rely on AI output for any medical, safety, or significant dietary decision without checking it yourself and, where appropriate, with a professional. You are responsible for evaluating output before acting on it.
Bo is a general-audience tool and is not designed to treat, and should not be used to fuel, disordered eating. The coach is built to avoid extreme, unsafe, or restrictive advice. If you are struggling with food, weight, or body image, please seek professional help.
Health and weight outcomes depend on many factors. We make no guarantee that you will reach any particular result.
By using Bo you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and agree to use the App accordingly.
